Next morning as usual we had to be called by Kumar and were picked up by a lady downstairs. There were two English girls downstairs waiting too called Hannah and Nicole who told us Kumar had told them there were two "american" guys coming along but we later found out that Kumar expected us to not get along with the girls because of the whole Ireland/England thing and hoped to pass us off as Americans, it was very funny !!!!
A The Extras
We arrived on the set and were sent to wardrobe where we met a guy we had already met in Egypt 2 months previous.......... some of you might remember my Dahab entries where there was a guy called Tim cycling from Newcastle , England to Newcastle ,Australia. It was such a fluke because as I said there are so many options for Bollywood and here we were on same set again.............so bizaare !!! Then the next shock, we were given suits to wear in 35 degree heat and nobody had shoes so we all looked ridiculous in flip flops and sandals and crappy suits but hey thats India.Filming started at 10:30 and we learned the scene we were shooting was a nightclub scene and our main job was to chat, mingle and dance in the background while the stars and dancers did their thing in front !!! Most Bollywood movies are all singing / dancing affairs and this was no different so we had a great laugh watching the trained dancers who got 700 rupees each for this, while we made fools of ourselves in the background.
After a nice hot curry for lunch we learned we would have a larger role to play later in the day, in fact I even had a scene where I chat with the lead lady or the "good girl" and Nicole at the bottom of a stairs while Imrhan the star comes down and ignores her and she gets upset. It was so funny and we all had a great laugh doing it although we had 12 hours "work" and were shattered that evening

. The two main female stars were so nice and we got some photos with them but the guy Imrhan spent all day having his hair and make up touched up so nobody got to speak with him or get photos, but if you imagine Colin Farrell with darker skin you got Imrhan !!!
All in all it was a great day and the best thing was we finally got a chance to meet some more people as we had not really met anyone in India up till now. The two English girls .....Nicole and Hannah and Tim and also a young Danish guy called Niils were just some of the extras we hung with and actually planned to go to a little village down the coast called Murud for a couple of nights with Tim, Nicole and Hannah for Tims 23rd birthday two days later !!!
