Well as the saying goes "All good things must come to an end " and sadly today my Syrian adventure comes to an end. I must say good bye to some of the best people I have had the priveledge to meet...............Katja, Brad and John who must have the patience of saints to have put up with our antics for so long and also Ahmed who could not do enough for us while we stayed at Al Haramain hotel in Damascus. He did it all...........from ordering (and paying ) for shwarmas to be brought to us at the hotel to taking us clubbing in Mar Mar and getting Katja and me some pretty good student id's. I cannot recommend the hotel, city, country or the people highly enough.
Strangely today I also say farewell to Jimmy (just for a little while though) as he is staying for a few more days as I go ahead to try and acclimatise to India before my wife Roseanne arrives on the 18th.
After a sad (tearful) goodbye I was off to make my way to the big bad sub continent of India. But guys even though it is goodbye for now I know we will all meet again somewhere on this little planet of ours.
