The whole of Trinidad is in mourning. The world is now a different place, worse for the loss of a great man - our mate, Steve "The Crocodile Hunter" Irwin. It was hard to fight back the tears, but I somehow managed. Others weren't so reserved and just let the emotions flow. Heart-felt tributes surfaced like "Who?" and "Coco deal?", before finally one girl finally cottoned on and made the obligitory stupid noises like "cor!", "woo!", "she's a beautiful animal" etc etc...

And in other remarkable news, the Dockers find themselves comfortably 3rd on the ladder.

The last couple of nights have simply been spent.. well, partying. There really isn't much else to do around here, so I've been forced to go out you see. There is a steady supply of tourists for me to latch on to, and all of them come equipped with rubber arms like mine so it hasn't been hard to convince them to come out on the turps. Aussies, Germans, Irish, Kiwis, Canadians - it's been a mixed bag.

Here is the quote from my diary, which I wrote just before heading out for a bottle of water on Sunday night: "It's rained a lot today, still pretty heavy. Good, because it kept me from doing something stupid like going out again".

Then the rain cleared up, and it was more of the same for me.

Nearly killing me, like Bamberg.
