Relaxing in the Black Forest

Arrived in Friberg before I had even woken up. Stumbled out on a quest for food and decided to spoil myself with a steak. Let's just say the only thing that was spoiled was the bloody steak. It was so average that I vowed to never give Germany the chance to cook me one again! We hung around the impressive Campingplatz all day, watching the World Cup matches and kicking the ball around a bit until some old German bloke threatened to set his dog onto us for hitting his campervan.
Walked into the town for the later games, and soon discovered that thanks to it's status as "A Uni Town", Frieberg was indeed hot chick city. Hmmm, but as a disclaimer it is also worth noting that we had just come from a few days in Hagnau, where we did not even see a chick between the ages of 18-30. We also discovered that apparently Australia is not going to receive any coverage on German TV - not in highlights, adverts... nothing.
Next day walked into the centre of town for proper touristy day. Went to the Munster and market, and then forked out some ridiculous amount to get a cable car up a hill to climb a tower and overlook the town. Even after paying for the stupid cable car, we still had to climb half of the hill (ie. the steepest part) anyway! The lookout tower was a bit like the Perth "DNA Tower", only it had one spiralling staircase instead of two... so it was really nothing like DNA. Good view of the Black Forest though. Rest of the day was spent watching the World Cup, but none of us hit the turps very hard because we knew the next day was an early start driving to Munich.
