Where I stayed
Marco polo ferry
We had a few hours in split. Had some nice food, then checked into our ferry named the Marco polo. I was a wild mix of mainly Italians, some Croatians, and random Americans Brits and Australians. Trent and i had a cabin, some people sleep n the deck or in random areas of the boat. It was pretty comfy. But kind of mildewy. It had a bathroom with a shower fun it, but you had to sit on the toilet to use the shower. We pulled into Italy and began the six hour journey to the cinque Terrence. It was great.
Bye bye Croatia, hello italia!!
it has been a few days since we set out on Tuesday's but I will do my best to remember the noteworthy! We had a great final dinner in Dubrovnik. Went to a pizzeria in hopes of a cheap meal. It was somewhat Khoi heap. We had a half liter of wine. It is a very nice Quantity of wine. Not too little not too much. When we were finishing up we were debating on a cond half liter. We reasoned ourselves out of it thinking that we should be sensible and refrain. Just then the waitress told us we got a free half liter! I think because we are so good looking and quite the trendsetters they wanted us to stay at their restaurant to draw customers in. Just kidding :-) anyway we made it up bright and early by ten am and got a taxi to the bus station. We went to great extremes to not take a bus back to spit because the one to Dubrovnik was harrowing, the driver about went over a cliff ten times, and Trent said be was shifting all wrong and clearly had no idea how to drive such a vehicle. But there were no other options. S we go to the bus stations and wait for the next bus. The bus pulled up and has a young handsome, competent looking driver. He sat on the bus while his assistant did a lot of grunt work, for whatever reason, there are always two bs drivers on these Croatian buses. Finallay they started boarding, and the driver was being very rude to everyone as they gave him luggage. Like yelling at people and stuff. A German couple sat right in front of us in the driver side front two seats, it is customary that the passenger front two seats usually are left open for the drivers stuff but not the other side, especially on a full bus. He got on the bus and told the Germans to move. I got more and more crowded and eventually there were only a few oen seats and they weren't together. A British mother and daughter tried to find two seats and couldn't so they asked the other deriver if they could sit in the front two and he said yes. Then the mean cute driver got on and told them to move, they explained the other driver said they could sit there and the mean one said 'NO!!! I am boss. Not him! I am BOSS. ' he made them move even though he didn't use them at all. We were all cracking up but trying to contain ourselves in fear of being thrown off the bus by the BOSS. He was not typical Croatian. Most Croatians were very very nice and welcoming.
