Day 5: Lahaina, Maui. We had not booked a tour from the ship so we went on shore anyway and got our own tour with 3 other couples in a stretch limo.  We saw a botanical gardens, the Iao Valley, the Maui Plantation, and a Buddhist temple.  We grabbed a lunch on shore and then returned to the boat. At dinner we met a couple from Perth area and another couple from North Carolina and had an interesting conversation.  The show was a Motown group by the name of Horizon, three guys that did a revue of many Motown groups.  Not bad but not quite as good as Boys in the Band.

Day 6: Lahaina, Maui.  Turned out to be a pretty good day.  I was able to book a last minute special helicopter ride that was awesome.  We flew up the valleys next to the waterfalls and into the extinct crater of the oldest volcano on Maui. Taking pictures was a challenge because all were shot at an angle through the windows. While I did this Donna took a ride on the Sugar Cane Express, a scenic railroad using an old sugar cane train.  We met back up at two and returned to the ship for a late lunch.  Tonight we saw the Country Show again.  Tomorrow we hit our last island, Hawaii (or the Big Island).

Your pictures from the helicopter are beautiful. Glad you took the flight.

Glad youre back into better weather....which makes a huge diff. especially to getting decent pics. Chopper ride would have been awsome. Lucky youre not plagued by BPPV, like someone you know, who goes again today for another "fix".
Wondering why the dates in your blog are showing May 2014?
Can you type out full itinerary somewhwere or show entire route on map?
Keep making everyday a good one.
