We sailed from Sevastopol, at the tip of the Crimean Peninsula,across the Black Sea, through the Bosphorus Strait, across the Sea of Marmara, through the Dardanelles, and into the Aegean Sea. Leaving the Dardanelles, we had Galipoli on our right and the ancient city of Troy to the east of us.
