Hey gang!

So, Jaclyn told me to write a blog so that it doesn't seem like this is just her blog. Here I am. Yay! Getting adjusted to the timezone has been quite a process. I am finally adjusted to sleeping and waking up when I am supposed to. The food here is quite different also. There is a lot of seafood and some interesting twists to some of the things we eat back home. All I can say is, "Thank goodness I brought my Tums."

I had my first day of work today at Catenon WorldWide Executive Search. My boss, Yann, is extremely nice. I made it into work a little after 10:00 a.m. After about an hour of discussion, we left to the cafe' across the street with a few co-workers to have coffee and stayed there for about 45 minutes or so. The next thing I knew, it was 2:00 and time for lunch. We went out to eat at a local restaurant. Lunch is served in three courses here. I had black rice which is spanish rice mixed with octopus ink and mussells (it was very good). Second course was pork tenderloins over french fries (yes, fries are HUGE here). Third course was a chocolate gelatin or ice cream. Of course, we had a coffee after lunch. The coffee here is really dark and strong, but it is fantastic.

I know you are wondering what my work hours are so here they are: I don't really have any. I can show up at the office or work from 'home'. The earliest they will expect me to arrive is 10:00 a.m. and the latest they expect me to stay is 5 p.m. I can take the regular 1 1/2 to 2-hour lunch break in there too. I think that Jaclyn and I will be taking quite a few Friday afternoons off to relax on the beautiful beach here in Barcelona (pictures to come this weekend).

That's all for now. See ya later alligators.

Kevin
