Sunny Perth. The sunniest city in the sunniest state in Australia. This area is famous for its wine production, so I booked a tour to the Swan Valley vineyards. $65 dollars for 6 hours of wine tasting. Picked up at your door and dropped off at the pub. Bargain. The wine was really excellent. I even bought a bottle at the last vineyard. Most of these wines are never sold outside Australia, and many ever even make it to the shops. They're just sold over the counter at the vineyards. So there's no point in me giving you the names of the wines.

I'm alays a bit wary of wine-tasting as it could really ruin your palate. You learn too much, or drink too much really good stuff and you end up really spoiling your tastebuds. 01 Vineyard no. 1

The next time you go to Sainsburys you turn your nose up at anything less than a fiver. Many of the wines we tasted cost less than a fiver, but they were very tasty. Just as tasty as the expensive ones, which cost just about a tenner. The group were good crack too. No wine-buffs, not much being chucked into the spitoon. Nobody drinking the spitoon either.

Apart from that I've been trying to catch up on sleep here in Perth, and failing miserably. Trying to lead a quiet life and not spend much pennies. Today I had to help a guy in a wheel chair into a brothel (as I was walking past!). The poor man couldn't get up the step. I think he was too embarressed to ask anyone. His wheel chair was one of those electric ones with a joystick. When I came along his chair was just jammed against the step. So I did the christian thing and hoisted him up to the door of the brothel. He was able to take it from there. After that I'm sure someone inside gave a hand.
