We set out very early this morning ( was more like 9:30) for Pastor Lyle's house to let him know we decided to buy his scooter.  Monday morning we will get the paperwork all changed over by the lawyer.  Lyle told us we could go ahead and take the scooter in the meantime.

Good news-we now have wheels for the weekend.
Bad news-it was quite a haul from Lyle's house to Cafe Cafe (where the scooter is kept).

This walk is OK for Kevin the well seasoned hiker, but for is always quite a trek.  The one we were really worried about today was Oscar. Oscar did fine in the beginning and middle, but towards the end he was much so that he actually sat down and refused to move.  Then he burrowed himself into the weeds by the side of the road to get out of the sun.   I really can't blame him.  I probably would have done the same if I know someone would pick me up and carry me the rest of the way.  Jody carried him a small part of the way and Kevin did the rest.  Kevin came up with some very interesting ways of hauling Oscar the rest of the way.  We don't think Oscar really cared, though.  What do you think?

After cooling off at Cafe Cafe and recharging with some chocolate chip cookies, we were on our way.  To where?  We had no idea.  All we knew is that we had freedom again.  We ended up riding out to Playa Flamingo for a quick visit to the beach.  Oscar really enjoyed the ride.  Check out the video... He doesn't look too tramautized, does he?
