Leaving Madrid.......finally!!!

Well we finally left Madrid yesterday. We were heading for Cordoba but when we got to the bus station the bus was full and not wanting to wait around for 4 hours we ended up going to Seville instead. Staying in a campsite a bit far out of town near the airport which is incredibly noisy at times! It will do fine for a couple of nights before we head to Granada where we will (fingers crossed) meet the truck which should be setting off from the UK on Friday.

01 Drummers in the Retiro

Leaving Madrid was no real shame except for the free accomodation and some of the friends we made. Last Saturday before we left we went to Toledo, a town about an hour South of Madrid. Was meant to be a ´must see´place and we did enjoy it but to be honest we could have gone without. It reminded us quite a bit of the ancient hilltop towns in Tuscany except there was no wine tasing to go with it! Spent our last day in Madrid wandering around the park Retiro which was really nice. There´s a bit where all the local bongo drummers hang out and play some really nice stuff. We sat in the sunshine and chilled out.

02 Toledo

Seville is not as warm as Sian hoped it would be. Nevermind in Morocco it will no doubt be too hot. One novelty factor Sian is enjoying is the fact that she is not small in Spain - about average height. That´s never happened before!

Anyway, time to go and see some more of Seville.
