– that we go get some cannoli before heading off to our next stop. We found a great little coffee shop just outside the mini-coliseum and decided to call it a day after a picnic in the nearby park. A really great place for a stop-over, Verona is definitely worth checking out.
After an overly romantic week in Tuscany, and Venice not to mention the rest of the trip to date – we headed to Verona – city of the star-crossed lovers. Not exactly sure what to expect, we quickly came to realise Verona was going to be very near to the top of our destinations, providing all the beauty and charm of the other Italian cities but more much relaxed and accessible (reminding us a lot of Antibes). We toured the magnificent streets, and found our way first to Romeo's house, and then Juliet’s balcony. It was at this point that I gazed into Ann’s eyes, a nervous rumble in my stomach, being overwhelmed and overcome by the moment –
