We arrived in the "Valley of Beautiful Women", anticipating an alleged 200 wine cellars, ready to show us their wares. Unfortunately the greater majority had not finished hibernating for the winter, as we arrived pre-tourist season, but this did not matter in the end as the wine (as always) still managed to flow freely...

We stumbled across the final cellar open for the night, which provided us with Bull's Blood (of the semi-sweet variety), which turned out to be an exceptional drop of vino - particularly considering the amazing price of around 2 Euros for 2 Litres, which includes the greatest wine dispersing vessel ever (we have our own mini wine barrel!).

Highlights during our time here include the introduction of the song which would define our EE/Balkan trip (Yolanda Be Cool!), seeing a crazy Hungarian youth dance her drunkenness away (only to down more wine and dance for another hour), discussing the quality of grapes in the region with a heavy metal head, watching a table full of Hungarian's stand to attention for the national anthem (complete with flag draped around the shoulders of the cellar owner), and said cellar owner having a taxi personally deliver him a bag of ice and bottle of scotch so he could keep awake and the joint open.

Then, finally, as everyone else cleared out we finished our first 2L's and were able to kindly ask for a refill (to the cellar owners astonishment and delight), spending our final Forints and walking away rather merrily.
