Food, as expected, has been amazing in terms of quality/value over here, but surprisingly difficult to get for a vegetarian diet. Even though Buddhism is by far the major religion here, nearly all Thai's still eat fish, chicken and pork, so finding a meal does take a bit of effort. Kirt and El have luckily sussed it all out though, and taken us to some awesome local little places, putting their asses to some use and actually making them pretty good hosts. Something we did not expect.

Highlights of Bangkok have been the Saxophone bar, a crazy little bar where we caught a local reggae act, the Chatuchuck markets which is an intense experience and taken us even further over our weight limit and seeing Frankenmusic at the RCA. Live music and gigs are always great, but even better in Thailand. Awesome vibe and people to party with. The circus of Khao San Road was fun as always - being offered ping pong shows, tacky suits, and then a ping pong suit was highly tempting, but in the end we just bought a bunch of fake discount cards. These work, and pay themselves off quickly. Finally, and one of the most important places in Bangkok, for ourselves and our gracious hosts, was the roof of the Life Condominium building. Pool, Sauna, Grass, Grass, and high enough to escape the madness of the streets of below, it provided a nestled sanctuary.
