We arrived in the BIG APPLE at around 11 pm with no hotel room booked and a long drive behind us (410 miles). If you want a piece of advice, book you room before you go!!! We finally ended up in an overpriced hotel under the Empire State building!!! ready to go out!!!

Another piece of advice, don't go with your car!!! We took a parking ticket on the next morning because we couldn't wake up, and paid 40$ to park the car during the afternoon!!!
We were finally ready to go see this wonderful city!!! After walking all afternoon down 5th and up Broadway, under a shining sun, and 95°F, we ended up laying down in Central Park, which is a real delight!!! This park is an oasis in this crazy city!!!
We got the car back from the parking lot and headed to Time square to grab a bite and spend the evening!! Downtown NY
Downtown NY
! As we got back to the car around midnight, the car had disapeard. We really thought, this was the end of our "short trip". But "fortunalely", the car had only been towed away. After 1 hour wondering in the street to find the place they took the car to, we ended up in the office with junkies throwing up all over the place!!! A real nice experience!!! We finally paid the fee (185$) and got moving with a big hurry out of NY!!! Direction Florida!!!

I was kinda disappointed!!! The city was crowed and we could not do much!!! We wanted to go up in the Empire State Building, but we would have needed to wait 3 hours!!! Then the queue for the ferry to the Statute of Liberty was so long, we didn"t even bother!!! I guess August isn't the right time to go!!!
