So the cruise was over and we headed back to my home away from home- Maryland. Or to be exact- Leisure World. For those of you who aren't familiar with Leisure World, I will explain. Leisure world is a gated community for seniors where both my "sets" of grandparents live. Its a really nice place, but everyone there is.. Well, seniors! Once I arrived I enjoyed some relaxing time. It was the first time in 6 months were I was actually doing nothing. I had mixed feelings about the lazyness but all in all- it was fun (at first).
One of the things that we did which was fun, was when we went out on my uncles boat for the day. My uncle and aunt (Heidi and Sandy) own a boat on which they took us for a spin on in the Chesapeak Bay. We sailed around for a while and then ancored the boat to have lunch. The boat is beautiful and fully equipt. After lunch we sailed back to the marina and waited for them to clean up the boat. After that we had a nice dinner with everyone, including my cousin Josh.
On one of the weekends I decided to go and visit up at camp. I hadn't been up to camp since 2002 and I was excited to go visit, especially after finding out that alot of my friends were up there. As soon as I got there, I realised that camp hasn't changed a bit and it was really fun being up there again. The strange thing was that my friends are now the oldest people at camp! I remember as a chanicha that the oldest people at camp seemed REALLY old, and now they are my friends! It was strange and funny at the same time.
Other than that, I pretty much hung out and did the Maryland stuff. Went shopping, had a California Chicken Salad at the mall, had Starbucks and just hung out. One day, my uncle Harvey decided that he wanted to go up to his cabin for the day to get some tools that he had left there. I went up with him and we had a really fun day. We made hot dogs for lunch, rode the quads (ATVs), went fishing in the lake and rode the quads some more. The next day, my uncle decided to take me out for a ride on his Harley Davidson which was awesome too.
At some point, Hal came home from Vermont where he was spending the summer and we got to hang out together for about a week. I had pretty much had my fill of Maryland and was starting to get anxious about going home. Luckily, I had a week in California to look forward to, and after that, only two days until I go home.
