16th February Drove into Cameroon, and camped at approx 2.30pm at an 'Inn' just over the border - we couldn't go any further as the road through the jungle is closed at night, due to bush-meat poachers and illegal logging. Cade went down with (very probably) malaria. We celebrated a double birthday - Ben and Benny. Now back on CFAs as currency, but Central African ones!
17th February Between the border and Limbe has taken past overland trucks between 3 and 9 days, depending on the 'road' (ie dirt track) conditions. We found that it had been much improved (and was still being improved) by the Chinese - some of it was now gravel, and some tarmac. We stopped at a hospital in Mamfe so Cade could get a saline drip.  Whilst he was in there we bought cold beers (our first since Calabar). We were soon back on the dirt road. Bushcamped.
18th February Day 100 since we flew out of Luton! The road alternated between dirt and tarmac. We stopped to swim in the plunge pool of a waterfall - a bath/shower after a few days on the road! Bushcamped.
19th February Reached Limbe around 10.30am - a new Oasis record! Camped by the sea - a refreshing breeze to mitigate the heat & humidity.
