7th January We did breakfast. We had a misty drive to Elubo, where we crossed into Ghana - another English speaking country, formerly known as the Gold Coast. We bought some cheap booze from the duty-free shop - payable in either US$ or local Ghanan cedis. We bushcamped on the grounds of a petrol station, on concrete.
8th January We drove to Kumasi, the former capital of the Ashanti kingdom. We went out for a night of pool. We camped at the Presbyterian Guesthouse.
9th January I went to Kejetia market, reputed to be the biggest in Africa, with some 10,000 stalls. We had another pool night, and camped.
10th January Had a lazy day in the grounds of the Guesthouse. Some of the children from the local Presbyterian school went nuts with one of my cameras, taking over 100 shots! Benny was interviewed by phone by The Sunday Times, for an article on Overlanding in the travel section.  Camped.
