Yay!! We received our sites last Monday, and I will be living the next two years in a pueblo/campo site about 10 mins outside of Santiago! It's a gorgeous area, very lush, green, and mountainous. The city is close, so I can get all of my shopping done and do whatever I need to do there, but I get to live in the tranquillo campo, which is fabulous! I am in the northern part of the country, about an hour south of some gorgeous beaches, so I'm excited to do some traveling and exploring.
I will be working with two schools in the area and was able to visit them this last week. They are adorable, and even though they need a lot of help, I am so excited to start working! My site is faboulous, and I'm so thankful to be placed where I am.
Wednesday, we get sworn in as actual volunteers, so that is exciting as well! We are all ready to start working and get into our daily life activities.
