This past week has been unbelievable. It´s our last week of Community Based Training, so we are all sad to be leaving our town and each other, but it has been a sweet week of celebration, too. Today, we gave our last Technical Spanish presentation, so I´m pretty relieved that all of that is finished, but I think I´m getting better with public speaking because I´m so concerned about my Spanish, that I forget that I´m in front of people!

On Wednesday, we went to an absolutely gorgeous beach in Miches. I couldn´t have asked for anything more beautiful. Blue green water, palm trees, hammocks, music, and pretty much no one else there. It was so so great. I heard South Dakota got snow, so I´m really sorry to be writing about this now!

Last night our host families here gave us a going away party, because we are leaving for the capital tomorrow morning. They went all out for this, that i´m not even sure how to do it justice in writing. They all cooked separate dishes, which we fabulous, and all that, but then they had a surprise for us. So after eating, this group of beautifully dressed dancers comes walking in and starts performing for us...bachata, merengue, and salsa. They were unbelievable, and I have come to realize that I will never be able to dance like the women here. It´s amazing to watch. Then they guys went out and changed and continued the performance by singing and dancing...it reminded me of an N´Sync concert or something...I don´t know, but it was hilarious and awesome, and we loved it. Our families are incredible, and everytime my dona came into my room today, she started tearing up because we are leaving. Ahh, we feel very loved here and are sad to be leaving.

Monday is the big day, because we find out our permanent sites and receive our cell phones...Happy Day!! It´s a little too exciting to even think about right now!

Ok, I hope it´s getting warmer, and there is no more snow!
