Well.  This is my first entry and I'm not really sure where to start.  So as the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland says, "Start at the beginning and when you get to the end, Stop."  So I'll try that.

I'm in Dijon, France for the semester finishing my business degree.  Dijon is the capitol of the Burgundy (Bourgogne) region of France about 3 hours from Switzerland and about 2 hours from Paris.  The Bourgogne region is known for its good red wine.  Which works out great for me.  Dijon is a funny little town and you'll have no trouble finding what we call "Dijon Crazies".

Before school started, one of the teachers here offered a tour of a nearby town, Beane, and other villages in Bourgogne.  We visited an old hospice that creeped me out and I didnt really liked it.  But the best part was going through small villages and hearing the history of the region.  Rows and rows of grape vines - it was quite beautiful.

Check out my photo album of this entry and you can find a couple more pictures.

Creating this blog made me realize that I need to take more daily life pictures.  I have a flat a block from school, which is so fortunate.  Alot of students were homeless for a while and now live in crappy housing (aka "the prison") far from school so I'm very lucky.  I have one roommate, Paige, from OSU that I knew before coming to Dijon.  She came last semester and has been an absolute angel in helping me get around.  (A shout out to my homedawg, PDiz!)  And our third roommate, Ayperi, is from Turkey and is an absolute doll.  She speaks Turkish, French, and English and helps Paige and I with our French and teaches us Turkish.  And we help her with her English.  I have been so blessed with wonderful roommates.  We cook and drink wine and play cards and just enjoy pleasant company.

Paige in Kitchen This is our kitchen.  Quaint and wonderful, isnt it?  And this is me making pancakes!
Pancakes! We love our kitchen!

So this was my first entry!  Phew!  Coming soon: Istanbul: City of Dreams

Until then, be well and know that I love you!
