We caught the train from Bacharach to Koln to spend the afternoon before catching a night train to Copenhagen. Immediately upon leaving the station, we were greeted by the beautiful Koln Cathedral.  As we were starving, we quickly admired the cathedral from the outside and headed to a local beer hall for a quick bite to eat before touring the inside of the cathedral.  The beer hall had good food and, of course, they served one of Creighton's favorite types of beer, Kolsch.  We then returned back to the Cathedral where we toured the inside and found one modern looking stained glass window amongst the typical religious scenes (see picture).  Next, we walked along the Rhine to, in Kelly’s opinion, one of Koln’s most important sights, the Chocolate Museum.  We quickly walked through informative exhibits as it was incredibly hot in the museum and made it to the adjoining, working chocolate factory.  There Kelly was in awe of the huge, golden chocolate fountain and we both enjoyed the sample wafers dipped in it.  On the second floor there were large machines used to spin chocolate into elaborate molds as well as their "manual labor" (see picture).  After touring the chocolate factory, we wandered around and eventually found a café to sit at until dinner time.  We had dinner at another outdoor beer hall and then prepared to catch our night train to Copenhagen – Creighton was excited to see how the German night trains would rank against the French, Spanish and Austrian.  Unfortunately, they failed.
