So I've been here for a few days now. Jet Lag is starting (JUST starting) to subside and I'm starting to adjust to the accent. Less asking people to repeat it. Last night I was with Kristin and Erin in a pizza shop across the way, and we met and Irish guy and an English girl and guy. We asked them if they had cheesesteaks (just curious)and we ended up talking to them for a good half hour. They were excited to know that I was from Hershey where they make the chocolate milk (she only liked the milk, not the chocolate bars...). Then the Indian guy who was making our food decided to try and talk "american." Its very strange here because NO ONE will try to have an American accent. They refuse to even try it. Whereas, me and Rachel Smith can get up in front of 200 kids and lead them in a buckling rendition of the announcement songs in "high-pitched british accents." Very strange. One would not think that culture shock in the UK could be what it was to me. But it hit me like a brick. I'm starting to adjust, and today was always better than yesterday. I am posting some pictures of my flat so that you can see my room where I will be spending my time.

Miss you!!
