Day 1 National Reserve and Luguns
This was a fantastic day. The landscape was unlike anything I have seen before. (you´ll be able to see by the photo).
When the flamingos spread their wings or took flight the deep pink colours on their wings were amazing. The lagoons where also incredible. Rich blue water with the green flora and .
That evening I signed for a star gazing tour with Space Observatories. Run by a french guy and his wife. A guy fanatic about stars with a yard scattered with telescopes. It was a great tour, very informative with great views of stars, galaxies, Mars and the Moon truly awesome- I acquired my best photo yet!
A tour to the valle de Luna (valley of the moon) and the valle de murte (valley of the dead)
A valley that resembles the surface of the moon. (Quite fitting trip the day after staring at the moon via a telescope!) We scrambled through a cave to get to the views - OB you would have loved it!
Day 3- Gysers
Arriving before the sun rose to -10 degrees (a little chilly to say the least!) Situated between two active volcanos, a specific condition to make the existence of the geysers possible. With steam and boiling water spraying into the air, what a great sight. I had a quick dip in the thermal pool taking half an hour to stripe of all my layers! PHOTO_ID_R=p1010797.jpg]
Having been sight seeing and enjoying the glorious sunshine that just about concludes my time here at San Pedro de Atacama. Today it´s time to once again pack up my rucksack and travel to my next destination - Salta- Argentina.
* Eaten Llama Kebab, a little chewy but satisfying
* Geysers here are pronounced GAYsERS, found it amusing when asked`You want to see the GAYsER´s´. Yes, yes I do!
