I guess it is time for me to do some reflecting.  My kids are taking tests, so I have no class and it is a rainy day.  Oh, well I don`t really know what to talk about.  I`m not in the writing mood!  I`ll give it a shot though, who knows maybe something good will pop out.  More than likely this will just be a bit of a ramble though.  A few things have happened in the last month.  The decision to stay or go has come and gone.  And my was it fun.  Won`t go into the details too much.  First we were staying.  One more year, and I was looking forward to spending another year with my friends here and doing some more traveling around Asia.  I still had some hesitations about staying another year away from my family, but I cleaned my apartment, bought a new cupboard and threw out my disgusting couch.  (it was quite terrible)  I even signed the paper saying I would stay another year.  And I went couch shopping!  After a year and half of having a drab apt. I figured I could spring for some new digs for the next year and half.  But some things fell through.  And now I am not staying another year.  And I was stuck without a couch or any where to sit in my apt!  Ahhh so now I have (gulp) six months left on my little island.  The thought of leaving makes me quite sad.  There is so much I will miss of this place.  It has become quite comfortable and cozy.  Though my Japanese is still shit.  I have made some really close friends here and gotten accustomed (for the most part) to all the little nuances created by living in a culture wholly and utterly different from mine.  For example, today is Valentine`s Day.  Do they celebrate it here you ask?  Why yes, indeed they do.  The women are suppose to give chocolates to the men.  All men.  Their coworkers, fathers, husbands etc.  Yes, I did give chocolate to my male coworkers, and boyfriend.  And My women friends and coworkers as well.  So there.  Ok, I think I`ll stop talking about that now, before I get to teary.  I bought the couch anyway btw.  It was a brilliant move.  Now I just hope I can sell!

Oh yes, what`s next.  Well, that is still tbd. (to be determined)  But there is a tentative plan in the works that includes more traveling.  YEA!!!  A little stint around Europe for a few months before coming home for a couple months around Christmas time.  Yes, you read that right, it is not a typo.  I will be home for a few months probably around November/December.  ((Stay in your seat- no jumping up and down or your boss will know you are not actually working right now!!!))   Then it is off on the next adventure, South America OR Africa.  Looking for a program that fits what I (we) want to do now.  So that will determine where we go.  And thenc...  you`ll just have to stay tuned I guess!

What else?  UmmmcI went whale watching again last weekend.  It was pretty good.  Watched a mama and her calf play around a bit.  Craig and I went to Nakajin castle in the Northern part of Okinawa and saw some lovely Sakura! (Japanese for cherry blossom)  We had a bento (lunch box) and took pictures.  It was quite Japanese, and also quite pleasant!
In addition to my regular duties teaching, I am going to be tour guide extraordinaire for the next few weeks and I am looking forward to it!  My grandparents are coming to visit for two weeks.  And then Amy is coming!  And sometime in between there I will hopefully run another marathon.  And have graduation for my kids.  Hmmmc.might be a little busy!  Guess I better rest up while I can! @Hope you`re all doing well!
