We got out of bed later in the afternoon and went to get our passports. We picked them up and went back to our hotel as we had a booking for dinner at a Japanese Restaurant. We had a really nice dinner and it was wonderful. We then went back to our room and that was the day over, we did some washing as well. The next day was going to be a big one so we went to bed early.
NASA and the Everglades
This was the big day that we decided to go to NASA
We had just missed out on a launch which happened three days earlier, bit of a bugger on that one but you get that. They had a countdown clock going while the shuttle was in space and they were putting the Enterprise together as that was due to launch in 30 days. We got to see the Discovery which was in its building getting an overhaul. We got to look at the two launch platforms and then we went onto a section where they had the Apollo/Saturn rockets. We never realised just how many times they went to the moon and they are planning to go back within 10 years. Then we went to see where they build the parts for the Space Station and that day they had just sent a section across to be loaded on Enterprise, it was the robot arm built by Canada. Back to the entrance and we had a look at a real Space Shuttle and the Rocket garden.
Then it was time to go on our Fan Boat ride through the Everglades. This was really cool and we got to see Alligators, nasty things. It was then time to go back to the hotel and pack for the next day - our flight to New York and cold again.
Here we come New York
Today was an early start but it was a busy start. We got to the airport early as we didn't want a repeat of Las Vegas. We got a chance to upgrade our ticket to first class and we took it. The wait for the flight wasn't that long and we took off for New York on time, amazing. The flight was a big difference in first class and the only hold up we got was because of the snow coming down in New York. We got there safe and only an hour late which is amazing for American Airlines. Tune in for our next installment.
