It was another early start for us so we decided to get up a little earlier and with Starbucks in hand we boarded our 8am tour bus.
We crossed the Oakland/Bay bridge on our way out to the NAPA Valley - this is the double decker bridge that collapsed during the earthquake in the 90's. It was a long trip out and our first stop was the visitor information centre for food supplies.
The first winery was the Kirkland
Our next stop was the Madonna Winery. We didn't like any of the wines here but they had a really cool cork puller that we purchased.
Then it was on to lunch at the Sanoma Plaza. We stopped at a nice Irish Pub for a good stew and then had a quick look around some shop before rejoining the bus.
Last stop was the Viansa Winery. Owned by one of the oldest families in the valley it was a wonderful looking Winery but once again we didn't think much one the wines. They had there own food market and this really caught our eye as some of the sauces and spreads were tasty. If we can stop ourselves from eating them we might bring some home.
On the way back to San Francisco we went across the Golden Gate Bridge and it was amazing. You can not truly experience the Golden Gate Bridge without crossing it. The bus dropped us off at Fishermans Wharf and we had to have Boudin's again, STEVE was really hungry.
Another late night and freezing ride back to our hotel room on the cable car. Hoping for a good nights sleep before our flight tomorrow to Los Angeles.
