We've made it safely to Vietnam after 24+ hours of travel and next to no sleep- it's a relief to finally be here.  Vietnam is HOT and there are motorbikes everywhere.... Saigon is a crazy place.  We have already visited the War museum, the Reunification Palace, and the Notre Dame Cathedral, as well as the Chinese Market.  Its been a busy first day and we are taking a break from the heat in our air-conditioned Hotel room.  We have booked a  2 day tour of the Mekong Delta which we will begin first thing in the morning.  The tour will take us into Cambodia at Phnom Pehn where we will connect to Siem Reap and the Angkor Wat temple complex.  We can't wait to get out of the city and see some of the beautiful landscapes and towns we've read about.  The language barrier is proving more difficult than anticipated, and we are finding that it is hard not to pay too much for everything! But our hotel staff has been very helpful and friendly, which has been great.

P.S. Shiloh's bike taxi hit a girl on a motorcycle while we were site seeing.... but like I said, the traffic here is insane.
