What we did:
19/31 of us were up at 6:00 for the optional Aegean Cruise. The breakfast buffet at The Golden Age is the best so far so it's nice we're here two nights and it’s cooler in the lobby today. Our bus took us to the cruise boat and we departed at 8:30, arriving at our first stop Hydra at 11:15. Hydra turned out to be the favourite stop for most of us for different reasons: Bite size, manageable, quite pretty, Donkeys, working fishing harbour, best views etc. We bought and shared a very nice Spanakopita from one of the local bakeries before exploring. Some people did the Donkey ride but most didn’t. A few took a dip in the ocean on the way to the lookout and loved it. We left Hydra at 12:30 and were immediately presented on board with a roast pork lunch with salad, potatoes and bun. It was good but not exceptional by most accounts. We finished up lunch, watched some more Greece go by, and arrived in Poros at 1:40. We have an hour here and so walked about a bit before sitting in front of a patio fan and having drinks as it was smoking hot. Last stop was the biggest Island Aegina which you can actually see from Athens. The heat was getting to more than a few of us despite buying 6 litres of water and the tour boat was advertised with two air conditioned decks but wasn’t so there was no relief
