this motel has given us a good nights sleep and the chance to recharge all our batteries. We did try a big 4 campsite last night but having turned up just after their office hours the staff obviously didn't want us there - so we quickly buggered off! Their loss! This area is geared up to deal with lots of tourists from what we see of it which isn't much because we want to get some more miles under our belt today. We do stop in town at a very nice café, opposite the very posh post office (looks like a palace neelam!) for a superb breakfast, and we take a quick look at the kiama blowhole - a rock formation at the edge of the ocean that spurts water every time we turn our backs on it! Apparently , on a good day (when the sea is rough ) the spurts can reach 60 metres high- must be quite a sight- we only get to see a few little spits! The road back into Sydney last night was chock a block with traffic - the holiday period is now over - all the kids are going back to school this week - but thankfully we are heading in the opposite direction - due south -  and our roads are fairly quiet. We drive on until we reach narooma- a very pretty little town with a campsite right on the bay we get a good pitch and wifi internet too! Out comes the tent once more (jim and nats  complaining profusely!) and plans are made to burn it when our trip is over as a bit of a leaving ceremony! The rest of our gear (and theres lots of it) will be included in the sale price when maz gets a new owner so someone will get a bargain! The campsite has a very nice pool but the town swimming pool is right next to our pitch too so nattie goes for a swim in there. A very big downer for us here is that the camp kitchen is closed - its hot and we could have done with the use of the fridge - we think its shut because there are very few campers here and the staff cant be bothered- bev got a bit peeved off when basically told if you don't like it go elsewhere- but its such a nice place that we decide to manage without. But shame on you easts holiday village narooma- we take your point when you say facilities not guaranteed but you are the first big 4 park we have come across where we have been denied the use of the kitchen - hang your heads in shame!
