The family got their own back early this morning - their kids were up before 7am making quite a racket! We go into town quite early too - to mustapha's kebab shop- not for a doner at this time of day - he's fixing jims phone(we hope) would you believe - the telstra shop couldn't help us but they knew a man who could so here we are. Mustapha has had the phone overnight so has probably been up all night ringing all his rellos in turkey at our expense- he needs to test it of course! The jobs a good un - it works a treat now!
The girls are in for a treat too - they both go on an hour long horse ride through the bush. Poor old franklin (bevs trusty steed) - he had to cope with a rather bumpy trot as well as the heavy load! Jim had to keep his feet on solid ground - taking our photos was his excuse!
Next stop a garage to see if we could get maz's aircon fixed - no chance until next week - unless we went to a dodgy blokes workshop that fixes aircon without a licence and no refunds - we should have asked mustapha if he fixes vans as well as phones
The arvo is quite hot so we brave the freezing cold campsite pool- nattie goes in twice - jim for about a minute and bev just a paddle! As if that's not enough activity for one day nats spends all evening on the big jumping pillow along with some kids she met yesterday. The adults get some local entertainment too- your typical aussie bloke - hat, sunnies, beard, vest, shorts and boots - one of the residents on this park - plays his slim dusty and similar cds on repeat for about 4 hours! Getting his own back on the foreigners(!) we reckon. Good on ya mate!
d.o.t.d. homemade chicken kebabs in pitta bread with salad - thanks for the idea mustapha.

think this is the greengrocer
! The woman from the garage telling us all these facts reckons everyone just calls this place shep. We knew these aussies were laid back - especially here in shep - but they cant even be bothered to name their town in full - but hey - we're cool with that - seems like a good place to live! Everyone very friendly. The arvo is quite hot so we brave the freezing cold campsite pool- nattie goes in twice - jim for about a minute and bev just a paddle!
