well we sneaked out as quick as poss - weve got a fast getaway car - just hope the prison warders (sorry park managers) doidnt follow the dust trail our wheel spins made on the way out of the concentration camp! w are on the home run now - port augutta which despite last nightschoice of accomodation, looks quite a nice place. a 3 hour trip back to civilization and adelaide. some great metal sculptures in the fields near dublin(!) - ned kelly, a ufo, army watchtower (should have been in por augutta this one) again make us laugh! good job we are in plenty of time to return the hire car when we get to adelaide - the grid style of roads in the city centre have lots of no right turns so we have a couple of attempts to end up at the europcar office even though we knew exactly where it was! the railway station is just across the road and we get lucky with our timetable with only a couple of minutes to wait for the train to noarlunga, half an hour away. a short taxi ride from there gets us to cousin robs house and maz is patiently waiting! its been a long trek! weve clocked up 3700km in the hire car- (we took unlimited mileage so no worries) and now we are in familiar surroundings once again! back to christies beach campsite for 1 more night we tell our friends here of our travels and then spend the evening with the family at auntie shirls again. everybody turns up for a fish and chip supper and to say cheerio - what a great bunch these guys are! turns out we'll be back - auntie shirl insists we stay at hers for one night - as our camping gear is already out at christies beach we will stay tomorrow night!
