we have a fantastic day here in the beautiful alice springs - the oasis in the desert! first stop is the royal flying doctor service museum where we find out all about how the unique aussie system works - bit like the rnli in the uk it relies on public donations to survive despite being such a neccesity for everyone in central australia. next stop just across the road was the alice springs reptile centre where we get some hands on contact with snakes, skinks, lizards and goannas. glad we've found out how to put pics on the blog now - see for yourselves! bev was too busy taking the photos to be able to hold any critters! any excuse not to ! then we took a short drive to the war memorial on anzac hill for some stunning views of the town. if that wasnt enough action for one day we head out to the camel farm for an hours ride into the macdonnell ranges at sunset. get home knackered but scoff our homemade lasagne before hitting the sack! potd prowler.
