Christies beach caravan park isn't very big and doesn't have much to write about except that the beach is fab, right along side us and so is the surf club that surfs up a mean steak dinner!  Last night , because we kept chatting at auntie shirls, we were a bit late getting here so we spent another night with cohzy maz! The tent did eventually get an airing and we move to another plot on the park for the next few days here. The next few days go by in a flash so we will put all the events together on  this one blog.....
Visiting the rellos at auntie shirls, swimming in her fantastic pool in the garden, mooching around the colonnades shopping mall trying to avoid the blazing sun, finding the trainers nattie wanted for xmas (first shop we go in here had them - but everyone says Adelaide is behind the times so maybe all the shops in Melbourne didn't have them cos  theyre already out of fashion... nats is happy though!)
New years eve and it's a party at auntie shirls - where else -  and it's the hottest night in 100 years- not a lot of dancing going on in the heat- instead lots of folk in the pool- not us tho - but a good time was had by all! Tony made a very good taxi driver for us so we didn't have the 3 mile walk home after all!
Its harrys turn to feel a bit rough now- not a result of the new years eve party - more of a cold bug that seems to be doing the rounds - he and Julia will be returning to Melbourne with tony wendy and peter while we are making plans to stay a few more days in Adelaide ,jim goes fishing with cousin rob (catches nought but sees a kangaroo), and we arrange a hire car to take us up to alice springs and back - it'll be too much for maz to cope with in a week- 3000km so we leave her behind at robs for a holiday of her own! We'll be back next Sunday to pick her up....
