we couldnt get away soon enough! halls gap is a super place but we are so pleased to heading off towards ballarat today. theres not far to go so todays blog will be very short!ballarat looks nice- the clouds dont! we take a chalet just in case. the welcome stranger big four site is small but perfectly formed with a fantastic endless swimming pool spa - with big power jets that you try to swim into- apparently you swim and swim but dont go anywhere! will try that out later.... we settle in to the little bog standard cabin- this one has an oven so d.o.t.d will be another roast dinner and veggies- see its not all barbies - the supermarket is just down the road but before we get to go the heavens open again! the staff are thrilled to bits- they were planting palm trees around the pool when we arrived- they wont need to water them now! and our choice of accomodation for two nights is now well worth paying the extra! dont think the tent is dry from last night yet...the helpful staff take pity on us here too - we get a freebie dvd to watch - kenny - all about the aussie hero plumber- and a must see for poms - very funny! the rain just kept falling... thats getting rather funny too! so much for christmas in the sun... p.o.t.d . goofy 6 and the driver was very goofy!

....for the receptionist. What a kind person. The DVD sounds a 'must see'. You must look a bedraggled lot...all these people taking pity on you almost everywhere ya go?????
