we are on the road again for our last long drive all together before the kids fly home next week. we do well to reach perth again 5 hours after setting off. the drive is a pleasant one with lots of pretty countryside to look at and we enter perth via the swan valley, vineyards everywhere- very tempting to stop but jim will have to wait until later for his glass of wine even though dan is driving now. we are going back to everyones favourite campsite so far, karrinyup waters- the one with the fab pool. this visit our pitch isnt so good as before- we are right next to the kiddies jumping pillow so will have to try that out later! the site is fully booked and we can only stay here for 2 nights.hungry and in search of food we take the 10 minute drive to hilarys harbour- a massive leisure complex. its busy and after a quick tour we opt to eat in the italian cafe. what a mistaka to maka! all wanting lasagne- that was sold out- we plumped for kit-e-kat bolognese or at least thats what it tasted like when it finally arrived. mamma mia. with all the shops closing the decision is made to come back tomorrow. one last minute buy tho- bevs favourite sherbet fountains in the english lolly shop- at a price, 1.50 dollars each. rationed to buying 2 by jim. scrooge. wait till he finds something he really likes. therell be another chance to stock up tomorrow...the last shop open as we leave is an icecream stall- yes we have found heaven- sherbet and icecream in the same place- we all have a weird and wonderful flavour(bevs was turkish delight in case you wanted to know and yes it was delightful!)

only 2 sherbert fountains Bev...that rotter Jim, fancy him not letting you stock up. You'll have to find a way to get your own back somehow.
