Still on the murray
We don't feel so bad today cause we wernt the only ones getting stranded. We moored up last night and another of our boat yard houseboats was stuck. Much worst than ours though these guys needed the rescue boat! Jims parting words to the bunch of young aussies on board was "see you on the next sand bank!" didn't know he was psychic cause and hour later there they were-stuck again. Silly sods had gone the wrong way around the channel markers and ended up in shallow water again! After laughing our socks off we offer a tow but by then our 1 engine was already struggling to make it home again. Gladly we make it and on arrival and being wingeing poms we moaned about a few things that didn't work properly on board and the weather (we always seem to be moanng about that- too hot, too cold, too windy etc.) before making a hasty dash for the comfy hire car to take us back to Perth, failing to mention the troublesome engine-the boat owner was busy anyway trying to arrange a rescuefor the other guys!
It's a busy day today, boat returned, campervan picked up and hire car left at airport and its quite late before we reach our over night stay in north Perth-Karringup Waters Tourist Park. Looks like a nice place and we are all glad to be back on dry land.
