Klingons on the starboard bow

High tide was at 10pm last night and with a bit of pushing and shoving and a with ryan walking on water (using our deck chairs) we got the boat off the sand bank we had become attached to for 6 HOURS. Daylight saving (putting the clocks forward 1 hour-very controversial with the aussies here) meant that daybreak arrived a bit sooner for us...the scenery at 5 am was worth getting up early for-when we "escaped" it was pitch dark and even with our tracking device we didn't have a clue where we had dropped anchor last night so an early departure was essential!

It wasn't long before we realized that Catherine (our boat) had eaten some sand nd her starboard engine didn't like it very much so we chugged back down river on 1 engine- just like speedferries 1. soon got some help from 2 aussie guys-should make it back to port by tomorrow. We catch a glimpse of our first dolphin swimming up the river, but it was gone before we could that a picture of it.

Its life jim but not as we know it
