Where I stayed
New Joe's guesthouse
Over the next few days we didn't venture far as were both still plagued by Bangkok bellie! We did however check out the massive weekend market where we paid 4 dollars for a terrible cartoon drawing of us and did some successful shopping
! A trip to the grand palace ended quickly as I was dehydrated and over heated, Our good friend Bangkok bellie letting us know it was still with! Ethan was told that he could get his dreadlocks fixed up and neatened and it would take about an hour. At 1am about 5 hours later they were finished. In the meantime I had a relaxing massage next door. Our original plan to stay for 3 nights was extended to 5 as we did not feel up to moving on in our current state. Desperate to get away from Bangkok and now well rested we organized a bus to get to Aranyaprathet to cross over the boarder to Cambodia. Now the adventure had really begun!
GOOD BYE BANGKOK!!!!!!!!!!!
We rolled into the Bangkok train station around 10 am after a surprisingly restful sleep! A taxi to Khao San rd and some great navigating skills we located our guesthouse in a narrow back alley behind Khao San rd. After climbing five flights of stairs with our packs we arrived at our dim but AC room and flopped on the bed to rest! With our stomachs growling, although feeling apprehensive about eating after the curse of the noodle dish the night before we set out to find some familiar western food! Wood Fired Owen ( Not oven) served us a delicious margarita pizza! Soon after we realized we were still unwell and made a dash for our room where we spent the rest of the afternoon sleeping! A small dinner and quick walk up and down the craziness of Khao San Rd and we were back to bed for the night!
