Also, we turned in our volunteer reports yesterday and presented our findings to Holy Land Trust. SO GLAD that's done!! That was a huge project and quite frankly we did a stellar job! HLT loved it and we all felt very proud of what we did. So that was just awesome!
So now I need to go make sure I have everything and board the bus!! Next stop, the Negev!
Here I am in our guest house, checking my email and posting a blog from Bethlehem for the last time! Our bus leaves in 20 minutes, I have NO IDEA how I packed all my stuff into a backpack and a big box, and we're heading down to Arava in the Negev desert. When I think back to the first time we went through the checkpoint between Jerusalem and Bethlehem and made our way to the guest house for the first time, this seems like AGES ago!!! What's really crazy is that it was almost 8 weeks ago!! That's longer than our sessions that camp!! It definitely feels like our trip is winding down, especially because we had a big goodbye dinner last night with all of our Bethlehem friends. It is very sad to be leaving them, we really have become a big family. What an incredible experience to have so many dear friends in such a foreign land. I will miss them!
