So the weekend in Damascus is coming to an end. It has been a really fun and I am pleased with what I bought.Breakfast was late again as nothing opens till 10ish. Anita and I headed to Handi Craft Lane for that final look around of what I may have missed buying the first time around.
Nope, didn't buy anything but saw everyone down there doing their final buying of rugs and such. Anita bought a tile, Terri bought a rug, and I had no packages. That's a first!
Lunch was at Costa Coffee by the Four Seasons hotel. I had an iced mocha and a sandwich and the others also ate while we relaxed before getting on the bus. Now it was time to pack up! I had brought 2 bags from the grocery store and everything fit in the bags I had. Oh, forgot about the sconces!
We all packed up and were ready for the buses at 2:00 as we were going to see the Target store. All of us had our credit cards ready to go! Well, it wasn't the real thing at all. The sign was correct but that was as far as it went. In my heart, I knew it wouldn't be the right thing but I had such high hopes!!!! It was a good thing we did stop at Lyle and Tiffany had got their passports back when we checked out of the hotel so it only took about 20 minutes to go back and get them and then head to the border.
Back on the bus and on the road to the border, it was much quieter as we were reading(love the Vince Flynn stories!!!!!) and listening to our iPods-each in our own little world. Soon we were at the border and here people shopped. We got back to Amman around 7:00pm and loaded up our cars to head home. I was ready for bed and didn't need to get up early in the am as we didn't have school. Tomorrow was still going to be busy!
