Well, the fun had to come to an end at some point! Breakfast was the usual-fruit, toast, coffee, olives, tomatoes, and cucumbers. But that was beside the point as we were anxious to get to the spice market! We decided to take a taxi to save time and walking so there was more time for shopping! It took less than 10 minutes to get there and the market was just coming to life as we arrived. Most of the people there were tourists but it was still fun to wander and smell all the good spice mixes that were there. I had a great time wandering, tasting, and figuring out what to buy. Suprised???? I found cinnamon sticks, little cranberry like things that are used in Persian cooking, dried veggies for soup, teas that are amazing, apricots, and blonde prunes. I had to be careful as it all needed to fit into my suitcase. We took a taxi back to the hotel so I could then get another taxi to the airport. It had been a great time with Barb and Les and I had a hard time saying good-bye. It wasn't like I could say "see you at Christmas" this time or see you soon. I got back to Amman and Anita picked me up and then it was off to Starbucks for coffee and stitching. Life will be getting back to normal...
