Well, I had school again but Barb and Les got to relax! Once I got home from school, we got in the car and headed to the Dead Sea for a float. The drive down there is always a quick one with lots of changes in the scenery but the color pretty much stays the same-brown. I was there last week but hadn't noticed how much construction has taken place since I was there in the spring. Who is going to live in these places??? That's my big question. Anyway, I digress...
We went to the Dead Sea Spa and Resort as it is still the cheapest place to access the beach and wasn't too busy. We paid the 15JD, rented towels, changed, and then proceeded down to the water. It was warm but wasn't as hot as I expected it to be-yeah! Barb and Les floated for a while and I took the pictures and then I got in to. It is so relaxing that I could have stayed for a long time but we were all starting to wrinkle up. There was some time spent in the pool to rinse off and relax a little more before changing and heading back to reality.
Once we got back to Amman, I thought schwarma and falafal sandwiches would be good but of course, everything was still closed even though iftar had passed. Back to my house for dinner-I think it was Greek spaghettii, bread and coffee. Sounds right as those are favorites of mine to make and easy!
Check out the pics!
Barb-if I am missing things let me know!!!! Also, thanks for the pictures you two as my camera got left in Netanya. :-)
