No, it's not Christmas here but the nerves and excitement are about the same! Today I treated myself to a manicure & pedicure for about $17.00-my back to school present to myself. :-) Before doing that Anita and I went to what we called the "Sam's Club" of Amman only to find out that the store format has changed. I was really disappointed! I did get some groceries as I still needed a few things to get my cupboards up and running again.
The afternoon was spent at school tiding up. I got at LEAST one layer of grit off before the kids arrive and as I was leaving the custodians were upstairs so it will be interesting to see what is different when I get there tomorrow. :-) My room is ready with the daily agenda on the board, activities planned but not copied, and a game plan of sorts. It will all depend on how many show up as there are 124 kids registered for the middle school. Lucky me, I am the only MS teacher that sees ALL of the students. I'll stop complaining now!
I have spent the evening sorting out other activities, watching the Olympics on local Jordan TV with no commentary, and being frustrated with my satellite TV that has nothing showing. Oh, my tv is whistling and the color fades in and out-I wonder if they will get me a new one?!?!? I'll let you know...
Have a great weekend and enjoy the next week! Go TWINS!
