For those of you who know me, I like my travels and have always indicated that in fact I will keep a diary. Have I done as such? No luck. Thus, it is with hesitation that I start my first 'official' blog, with hopes of entertaining you as I travel across 8 countries in the next 2.5 months. Here we go... April 3... Departure from Zagreb, Croatia after a year of living/working for a US-funded economic development initiative. It is with mixed feelings that I leave Croatia, as it is a fantastic country with much to offer in terms of destinations along the Adriatic coast, to farmlands and beautiful countryside of Slavonija, to the architectural beauty of the capital, Zagreb.
I had the opportunity to travel across the regions, and found myself partying and eating good food with local and expat friends in Zagreb, to chillin' out on the Croatian coast or towns along the Istrian peninsula eating mussels or locally caught fish, to listening to typical Slavonijan music and drinking slivovice in the farmlands in the northeastern portion of the country (Slavonija).
All in all, it was an incredible year full of fond memories and plenty of pics. Will have to start a travel blog for all that given travel, post-Africa.
I must say, however, to those who have yet to visit this country, it is a must see!
