I am on the move again! We have a ten day break right now between our intensive Spanish class and normal classes soooo I am travelling! I spent the past 4 days in London :)
I will try to summarize as best possible in the next ten minutes :)
Sooo we arrived late at night and in an attempt to save money by not paying night itme rates we slept on the floor in the London airport th efirst night... it was an experience I had to have while I was young :) I think I managed to get 4 hours of sleep or so...
We went on a walkign tour the next day and saw all the major sites as well as learned of the history which of course was very interesting. I pretty much fell in love withlondon as soon as I saw the grass and the rain and the leaves that were changing colors.. sounds like another area I know and love huh? I definitely was feeling a bit homesick being in a place just like my dear sweet oregon... Our hostel was a little sketch which didnt help. I think their version of cleaning was changing the sheets and taking out the trash... BUT it was cheap. The first day we also went to king's cross station. That is right harry potter fans I have seen platform 9 3/4s and have a picture ot prove it :) We then enjoyed Kennsington Gardens right near our hostel and the castle princess di lived in I am told...Next day I went to St. Pauls Cathedral for achurch service. This is where prince Di an Char. were married. I also enjoyed wandering a long the Thames after the service and seeing the Roman wall in london. Wandering the thames was perhaps one of my favorite experiences. I had lots of time to think and ponder my future in the same way many greats had done before me near the thames... Well they were pondering their futures not mine bute what ever! Lacey and I then went to see big ben or the clock that houses big ben and parliment. ONE DAY I will enter Parliment! We took loads of pictures of these two well known spots and wandered to see the eye of london and more importantly use the free bathrooms there :)
Then we went to a service in Westminster Abbey :) Very cool service and the choir was nice. Though I will never get used to all male choirs. Though the service we were at wsa on BBC and if you listen to the recording you will probably hear lacey coughing :) Then we went to Picadilly circus which is kinda like times square I am told with a big TV screen thing lots of shops and suhc. Then we went ot China town to see the sights and returned to big BEn and Parliment in order to take somne night shots of the famous buildings. Our second night ended witha walk along the thames...
And now my time is going to end so Day 3 dlater :)
