HEllo All!

Another week in Granada and what a week it has been. I signed up for a Flamenco dance class which is lots of fun. I need to practice... The teacher is very nice and she talks nonstop so it is a good listening opportunity as well. I still need to see a live Flamenco performance but I just keep reminding myself I have 3.5 months here still. :)

Classes are going well. I had my first presentation in class on Friday. I felt like  I was fairly prepared... it was on the Alhambra and I had done lots of research and practiced loads, I pretty much spent every free moment during the week preparing, I practiced for my exchange buddy who is learning english to get pointers and all was set. Then just by a fluck, my prof ended up giving like a third of the information from my presentation during her lecture. I was going to discuss the difference in the art in the alhambra from the christian art we are used to because it is arabic art. WELL Guess what we were talking about in class on Friday? I was literally sitting their watching my own presentation and thinking oh (insert any word hear you see fit, I probably thought it). Well when it was time for the presentation I began by stating my three points and then saying that I would try to adapt the last so they didnt have to listen to the same thing twice and my prof told me just to do my presentation and repeat stuff... Well not wanting to bore the class I simply brushed over a number of things I had planned to spend a lot of time on and so the presentation was shorter than it should have been and I personally didnt think it went very well because it was not my best effort but my prof seemed to like it and the class-or those I talked to afterwards- thought it was fine soooooooo.... I guess I survived it :)

I have now tried a number of new foods, some better than others, including Kalamari, Clams, Cod, Spanish ice cream, a fruit whose name I can not say that only exists in granada and is a cross between an apple and a prune I believe, peach juice, and I am sure many more... You all can probably guess which are the things I enjoyed more :)

Way cool experiences from the last few days:
On friday my roomie treated me to a crepe at a tea house which was pretty cool. The environment was very morracan with people smoking hookahs and flying carpets ;)
Yesterday was the Patron Saint Day of our Lady of Sorrows which WAS SO COOL!.... I will finish later we are going to the beach!!!
