Hola de Granada! I hope you are all well. There will probably be more space between entries from now on because my daily life would probably bore you to tears :)

From now until September I have class 5.5 hours a day mon, wed, and fri and 4 hours a day the other two days. I have a culture and civilization class that is very interesting because I absolutely love getting the panoramic view of a place. The other 4 hours of class a day are "intensivo" They involve a review of grammar and vocabulary with a little bit of writing practie and lots of speaking spanish. I actually really enjoy the review because I really need it. I knew I had forgotten a lot of the basics and this is bringing them from the back of my mind to the front. I just hope they stick a little better this time :)

This week I also had my first meeting with my intercambio. Our intercambios are people who are learning english and we practice together. We speak english for a whileand then spanish for a while. My intercambio is around 10 years old than me I think. She is studying medicine so she needs to learn english because all the medical books are in english. She also wants to go england for a rotation and work there so improving her english is very important to her. I think so far we have practiced more english than spanish because in my opinion I have many more opportunities to practice here than she does :)

I experienced the 'night life' for the second time last night. I am sure some of you all are laughing at me but we all know I am not a crazy party person :) We ended up at a pub because a lady who worked there told us we got all these discounts and such if she took us there. It turned out we did get s discount but the musice we were told about was music videos being layed on a big screen... the dancing was only in the videos and it was not really the party place. There was also not an option of nonalcoholic drinks-which all the bars here offer. The :"free" party turned out to be a shot of apple cider rum or something... (I had a siip of a shot :-P ) Then a drink with malibu and pineapple juice (But I only drank about a third of it and kept topping it off with more juice :) ) --note to jason I am now at a solid one-- Many in our group seemed to be fairly uncomfortable in the situation so we only stayed about anhour and then returned to our happy homes :)

Today we toured the oldest neighborhoods in Granada. The history is incredible all the mosques were converted to churches and you can tell the different parts by whether they are in brick or stone. They also have cobblestone si they can put water on it and it wll evaorate to cool things off. Moire cool facts later time to eat.
Tonight we plan to go to a tapas bar because we want to try tapas and those bars serve non-alco drinks. Afterwards we are going to a salsa club which should be awesome if there are strong lead men :)

Well that summarizes the adventures :) As adventurous as I get
