Walk Luz to Lagos
Marion and Max led nine plus a dog on the scenic walk from Luz to Lagos. A nice little 7km walk with lovely views nearly all the way. From the campsite to Luz was a quick walk along the roadside where we rested for coffee at a beachside cafe before climbing the hill up to the monument. Not too arduous a climb with stops on the way to take photographs of Luz dropping down behind us; the views from the top were well worth the effort. A sharp breeze kept us walking briskly along the clifftop until we got to Praia de Mos.
Max was taking photographs of the wildlife as we went. His photographs are truly amazing and we have bought six exceptional shots of birds from him ready to frame when we return; they will blend well with our current gallery of bird pictures and some are reserved for a place in our new office. It's a good feeling to have such quality pictures and be able to say 'I know the photographer; he took that when we were in Portugal' and not feel too ashamed to our admit our feeble efforts to get good wildlife shots were no where near the standard of his; mind you should see his equipment! They will have pride of place alongside our pictures from nature reserves and wildlife centres in New Zealand. Thankyou Max it was a pleasure to meet you and the lovely Marion.

We stopped for a drink and a snack at Antonios at Priaia de Mos with Jill and her husband Mick before walking into Lagos to catch the bus home. A lovely day. Bom dias.
