Hello everyone from Germany. Where the computer keyboards are so different from Canada that I am having trouble adjusting so this might be a short one. We left Groningen and took the train here to Hamburg. We met to girls on the train that were from Germany and thez traveled the WHOLE way with us chatting about Canada and Germany. They were quite interested in the French-English issues in our country....thankfully you all know how much I like to talk about that stuff! Hamburg rail station is amazing...just like the stations in old black and white movies or war movies. There are a lot of WWII memorials for the victims of Allied bombings and the are quite similar to civilian memorials in Holland actually. A lot of the buildings here are also under construction which the girls told us was because they tried to get everything looking nice for World Cup, but did not make the deadline.
We had an AWESOME dinner last night at a pub across from the station where people where watchin a lot of soccer and one couple was actually flying to Toronto today they said. The wife told Matt she had even visited Pickering and Richmond Hill. Also during our dinner, a deaf man came by selling stuffed animals for World Cup, Matt talked to him in sign language and we purchased one which will be a cool memory later on I am sure.
Might I just say, that we are going to see an actual U-boat today! U-434 I think its called, its what they call a Museum Ship. And I cannot wait. Hopefully a few other places too, but right now that is all I can think about.
More later tonight or tomorrow. Doing well, love Matt and Kayl
